If you’re running Sacmi SBF 12/24 or Krones Contiform machines, you already know the struggle. You need that infrared heat to be spot on. Too little, and your preforms don’t soften enough. Too much, and you’re dealing with crystallization or walls that are thin as paper. It’s a delicate balance. That’s why we built our replacement lamps to fit these specific machines. No guesswork. The wattage trap Here’s the thing: you can’t just throw any lamp in there. If you go with something under-powered, you’ll get “cold spots.” That’s a recipe for burst bottles and a lot of wasted plastic. But don’t think going “bigger” is the answer. Over-speccing the power just puts a massive strain on your electrical panels. Worse, you’ll probably burn the lamp out way sooner than you should. It’s all about matching the original specs exactly. We use high-purity quartz glass because these tubes take a beating. They go from freezing to scorching in seconds, over and over again. Our design keeps the heat concentrated so the preform warms up evenly from the outside in. The nitty-gritty on the build We use halogen-filled tubes. Why? Because it stops tungsten from clouding the glass. Without that, your light output drops off, and your consistency goes with it. As for the fit, we stick to standard R7s or Sk15 connectors. It means when you’re in the middle of a tight maintenance window, you can just wire them up and get back to work. No hacking, no modifying sockets, no headaches. A quick heads-up on heat High-output IR lamps put out a staggering amount of heat. That’s great for keeping your cycle times fast, but it turns the inside of your oven into a sauna. Keep an eye on your ventilation and cooling fans. If they’re clogged with dust or just failing, the lamp housing will overheat. When that happens, your filament dies a lot faster than it should. Stick to the OEM specs. It keeps your bottles strong and keeps your maintenance costs from spiraling.
